Why therapy in bed?

I find traditional talk therapy to be so...er….boring and not very
effective.  I know what works and allows us to get to a place of deep transformation.  The best way involves experiences.  Not just talking *about* ourselves--but by *being* ourselves and mindfully exploring what that looks like in the world.

I have always been turned off by the impersonal and sterile nature of therapy and truly feel that relational therapy in a fun and cozy setting helps to evoke more safety and healing than one of impersonality and segregation of the mind and body.

Come see for yourself! My therapy room is a place of exploration for people to connect in an authentic way as equals.

There are choices---and if you prefer a chair to a bed, that option is available too.

What happens in a Experiential Sex Therapy Session?

Each session varies greatly since I customize my session style to each couple and individual's interests and needs.

Some sessions are more talk-based and informative, while others might be more about counseling, healing and therapy.

Some sessions are hands-on and involve mindful touch experiments and interactive touch. I have found that sessions involving experience, mindfulness and touch have more transformative and lasting effects than traditional talk therapy.

Let's not just talk about things; let's have experiences.
This style is WAY more effective and it can be fun!

Some sessions will take place literally in bed as we lounge and get cozy and other sessions will be done on a massage table, while others will be seated in chairs or on a couch.

Will there be Nudity or Sexual Touching in the Session?

Hakomi sessions include some physical contact or none at all. Educational and Coaching Sessions do not include physical contact.

We will always discuss physical contact and boundaries before beginning sessions. Every client is invited to participate at the level of their comfort without any pressure to go beyond that. If that level of comfort involves excluding touch altogether, then that will be honored and agreed upon between therapist and client.

There can be nudity and sexual touching between couples who are being guided towards experiential hands-on learning and exercises.
Sensual contact and touch with clothing on excluding genitals can be a part of my Somatica Method sessions.

There will be no nudity or sexual touching directly from the Therapist to the Client outside of the context of a Sexological Bodywork Session.
